Right now I am listening to the official Lost podcast, courtesy of www.abc.com! Read my running report below:
- This is quite an informative podcast:
- In reference to Desmond and his 'flashback, Damon Lindelof confirms it did 'really happen' in 'the global sense of things'. He then, however, states that in the 'year 1996 that acutally did happen to him'. He says in Lost they try not to create plots that turn out to be dreams.
- Lindelof says that in future (Desmond) flashbacks, the Flashes Before Your Eyes flashback will not be referenced to as peculiar. It will continue as if the flashback was real.
- Explains that Desmond changed the past, and that events such as being hit in the face and taking the photograph may effect what happened afterwards. Damon says that originally 'maybe there were two photographs. That would explain how Penny got one.'
- Confirms that this flashback takes part before he enroles in the military, and states that possibly Charles Widmore's military comment may have influenced his decision to join.
- Admits the mispelling of 'honour' is a mistake, and jokingly says that the person who pointed it out 'just got someone fired'.
- Lindelof tells us that if Desmond hadn't gone to the island everyone would have been killed, and not just people like the ring lady, as some people assumed.
- Tells us Rousseau knows more than she is letting on, and admits Season 4 'would be a good time' for her flashback. They also admit she MAY pop up in someone else's flashback.
- States the woman with the 70 year old womb is NOT Juliet.
- States that from the promo's it 'looks like' Bai Ling is on the island, but 'you never know' with Lost.
- Talks about possiblyseeing the teddy bear again', suggesting the children will appear in Stranger In A Strange Land.
- According to Cuse, an episode this season will be called 'The Man From Tallahassee'. Its unclear whether he was being serious.
- Desmond's next flashback will take place when he was in the army.
- ABC are 'over blowing' the 3 mysteries solved advertisement.. Apparently it's more like 'one mystery and a few familiar faces'.
