As far as the character and game bomb, I think it's going to come with Desmond because of his ability to forsee what's going to happen, and because of Penny looking for him. They showed us the ending scene during the season 2 finale for a reason.

Pickett doesn't die, he is wounded severely, but we do not find out if he survives until later in the season.

Episode 8 is called 'Flashes Before Your Eyes' and Episode 13 is most likely a John Locke FB. (cuz they hired cops from OC, and the drug growing farm was in OC)
