According to Kristin at Eonline:
1 - Ian Somerhalder was recently in Hawaii and filmed some scenes with Terry O'Quinn. Interesting that he would appear with Locke. This MUST be the turnaround for locke who will have a spiritual visitation from Boone which will result in him returning to his old ways.
2 - About the LOVE connection. Kate makes her choice in the first four episodes. Leading up to that she will confess her love for someone on the island. I'm guessing Hurley, but I always root for the underdog.
3 - The premiere is NOT a kate centric episode, it is in fact a JACK centric episode and in fact deals with some more daddy issues which in fact means previous claims by Gregg Nation about foiling were in fact correct. That's the facts as I know them.
4 - Elizabeth "Juliet" Mitchell is romantically involved to one, maybe two characters! Which reinforces the spoiler that Jack is tempted by an other he knows from the outside world.
5 - As for where thay are when S3 starts? Eko is alive and in game despite rumors otherwise. And also Jack is in a glass enclosure and interacts a lot with a character we haven't yet seen. Kate is in an examining room and interacts with a character we know, but is not ETHAN.
On a side note... in an interview with IGN done on the 5th, Josh Holloway PROBABLY slipped up and confirmed that Kate actually chooses Jack.... read on:
IGN: Evangeline Lilly said that the hardest part of 'picking a suitor' is that she's going to work less with one of the guys she likes so much.
Holloway: I doubt that for long. We'll still be thrown together. One of us will be nagging the other.
