Harold Perrineau, who was Michael on ABC's Lost, showed up at the party with wife Brittany and daughter Aurora. He is working on a CBS pilot called Demons but says he still could return to Lost: "We're trying to figure out if I can get back next season and do both."

I'm sorry, but is he just supposed to sit on the couch and wait for Damon or Carlton to call and ask him to come back to Hawaii? If my character sailed into the sunset with no definite return, I think I would look for other roles/jobs, too. And since he apparently has another job now, they have to work out the details of his return to a different show on a different network.
The idea of being 100% committed to a character would be great, but I don't think it makes sense for most working actors.

tony, I agree with you. It's his right to pursue other projects. They do however, need to bring back Walt. TPTB said that all the mysteries will be wrapped up, and i'm hoping that includes the mystery of Walt's powers, why the others wanted him and what they did to him, etc.

I think they will answer the "Walt Question" by utilizing other characters with the same or similar traits (just my Wild A$$ Guess)
And Harold only owes it to his fans as long as he is employed by the show. Once his character written off, all other bets are off.

may i repeat myself, i wasnt talking about Harold perticular, its just something that came to my mind reading his comment. And i didnt say ANY about him sitting on a couch waiting for the producers, of course hes supposed to take other projects since hes making a living doing so. My point was actually quite simple: I hate if characters get replaced or removed due to lack of commited actors that just go off like "I just dont feel like it anymore" without thinking about the fans.
Id watch Harold in any other show any time an i appreciate his work alot, hope i cleared this up a bit.
