I know it wasn't a startling development since they've been building to it the whole season. They also spoiled it in the previews last week. But, damn if it didn't live up to expectations.
The episode was Kate-centric to begin with. We learned more about Kate's commitment issues during the flashbacks which told of her marriage to a cop in Miami. We saw her struggle to to settle down and stop running. We saw her flirt with disaster by calling the US Marshall. It's like she wanted to get busted. What's wrong with this woman?
A lot of people are still speculating on whether Kate really loves Sawyer. I can see their position. She still obviously feels something for Jack. Does she really love the safety of being with the "responsible" types like Jack, and the cop, etc? Obviously, it all stems from her relationship with her father, and her stepfather.
Anyway, when Kate climbed out of her cage and broke Sawyer's lock, I was on the edge of my seat. Weren't you? Like I said, we knew it was coming and I still got geeked up for it. I almost cheered. The ONLY disappointing thing was that it was so brief. I guess it had to given the time slot. SKATE shared some tender moments afterwards and Sawyer once again showed a vulnerable side when he asked her if she wasn't kidding when Pickett made her say she loved the con man. In typical Kate fashion, she couldn't respond. Bummer.
Are the writers still trying to leave the door open for Jack and Kate? Or is SKATE here to stay?

omg! kate and sawyer were soo hott! i was literally at the edge of my seat. I knew that something very exciting was coming!! Sawyer was hott! I really think kate and sawyer should stay together, they make a great couple to me and their love was so great. I hope she doesn't go with Jack. I like jack and all, but i like kate with sawyer better! after all Kate and Sawyer are my favorite characters on lost! they always were since day one of Lost. I love you kate and Sawyerr! keep your love flowing! It's hott! you two were totally ment to be on Lost! You were ment to have that enormous connection between you to! wow !!! all i have to say is i cant wait to see the next episode!
