I know what you're all thinking:  Slow.  But let's face it, nothing could have followed last week's episode.  It was impossible to match so with that in mind, tonight's show wasn't bad.  We did get some flashbacks instead of flashforwards for the first time this season, which is nice.  And we received confirmation that 1) Ben is a freak (not that this wasn't already painfully obvious) and 2) he has had the hots for Juliet for a very long time.

If you recall the previews for "The Other Woman", we all thought we might get some serious Juliet-going-Rambo action but it didn't actually turn out that way.  No, instead we realize that Charlotte and Daniel had orders to prevent Ben from gassing the island again (btw, The Tempest?) so Juliet took a leap of faith and let them complete that part of the mission.

Besides getting a teaser about Ben's "man on the boat", we didn't really learn much.  Whoever it is, the revelation caused Locke to release Ben.  Locke has officially lost his mind.  It's game over for him, in my opinion.  That guy isn't getting off that island, or if he does he is the coffin.  He's done.  How do you let Ben free?  EVER?

Another intriguing wrinkle from tonight's installment is that either Ben was still able to communicate with the Others (wherever they are) or Smokie used Ben as an alibi to turn itself into Harper (Goodwin's widow).  SPEAKING OF WHICH:  What's up with yet ANOTHER love triangle?  Juliet / Goodwin / Harper?  WTF?  We knew Juliet was doing the horizontal mambo with Goodwin from last season but we definitely obtained some more context to the whole situation, thus "The Other Woman" wasn't just a clever play on words.

So now what?  Charlotte and Daniel have gained some street cred with those who hate Ben. Locke has probably just made the situation ripe for some kind of mutiny and Juliet and Jack are all kissy and stuff which puts Jack in the middle of a double love triangle (or something like that) with Ben probably still having impure thoughts about Juliet on a nightly basis.

A little too much soap opera for me, but I still can't wait for the next episode.  See you then...
