I think that the writers really have been paying attention to all of us for the last three years.  Tonight they chose to address one of the nagging idiosyncrasies of Lost: The fact that the losties NEVER share crucial information with each other.  People were talking like crazy tonight.  Finally!

How many of you out there have screamed at your television sets because a critical tidbit isn't shared when it was needed?  I know I have.  It's been obvious that we were supposed to assume these conversations had taken place but it was refreshing to actually see it happen.  Juliet's bombshell was a blatant example.  But Kate shared info, Bernard shared some (albeit to Jin who wouldn't be able to put two and two together), and the best was the captain of the ship telling Sayid and Desmond who owned the boat.  I never thought I'd see the day.

Another new wrinkle was the combination of flashbacks and flashforwards within the same "flashes".  It definitely worked.  They were able to tell a story about Sun having the baby and retain the final surprise of Jin's fate.  The culmination of the story was very emotional and put everything into proper context, at least most of it.  We're still left with wondering if Jin was one of the Oceanic 6 or if he's back on the island or if he never made it off alive.  What the hell happened on that island?

The "big reveal" about Ben's spy on the boat was anti-climactic.  It was almost common knowledge that Michael was Ben's "man on the boat" ever since Ben mentioned it.  I was hoping they would throw us a twist here but they didn't.  Also, Michael didn't say much and I still couldn't help but despise him.  I don't care what he does to help Sayid and Desmond, I'll never get over how spineless that guy is.

Anyway, all in all it was another good episode, but not great like "The Constant".  Apparently, someone dies next week if the previews hold up.  See you then...
