    Naveen Andrews, aged 38, plays Sayid Jarrah, an ex soldier, in Lost. Andrews was born in London, England, and was raised in the South of London. While attending Emmanuel school, Andrews fell in love with and married his maths teacher, with whom he had a child.

     He auditioned at Guildhall School of Music and Drama to progress an actor career, dispite his parents encouraging him to choose an academic career. He was accepted, and he soon took part in his first film, London Kills me. From there onwards, Andrews progressed in his career, taking part in such television programs as The Buddha of Suburbia.

     Andrews has twice been married. Once to the aforementioned maths teacher, to whom he vore a child, Jaisal, and now to Barbara Hershey. Seperated briefly in 2005, Andrews had a child by another woman, before returning to Hershey.

     Andrews is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, which he suffered from in his early 20's while living in London. He moved to the United States to seek medical help, and eventually managed to get his life back on track.  He now resides in Los Angeles.

    Andrews character in Lost, Sayid, is a former soldier who was captured during the war and forced to torture men to secure his freedom. He was in a relationship with a woman named Nadia, who he was unfortunately seperated from. After having a relationship with Shannon on the island, she was killed, leaving Sayid grieving.

I have been watching Lost since it began. I love the show. I am really fond of Sayid. He is my fave. I have seen Naveen Andrews in other things, but this character is his most sexy one so far.
