Dominic Monaghan, aged 30, plays rocker Charlie in Lost. Currently involved in a relationship with fellow Lost star Evangeline Lilly, he was raised in Berlin, to English parents. They moved to Stockport, England, when Dominic Monaghan was aged 12. He attended St Anne's RC High School and later Aquinas College.
While in college he landed the role of Geoffrey in the television series Hetty Wainthropp. He is most famous for his role of Merry in the hit film series, The Lord Of The Rings. He has also taken part in An Insomniacs Nightmare, and, of course, Lost.
As was aforementioned, Monaghan is romantically involved with fellow cast member Evangeline Lilly. This was first revealed when photographs emerged of them both kissing. Neither have been previously married or have children.
In Lost, Monaghan plays Charlie, a recovering heroin addict. He is a member of a band he believes are famous worldwide, although the impression is given that they were not as big as Charlie thinks. On the island, Charlie is romantically involved with Claire. He is very protective of her child, Aaron, and Claire sometimes gives the impression this annoys her.

he is the best thing that ever hapend to that show i think that the wighters should have stayed on strick then they could have goten better ones and he would still be alive! but he did die for clair which is sweet! i am undisided!!!!!!! he might still be alive how knows we will just have to wait until next week. i dnot think i can wait that long
