The point on the right where the road ends is definately the swan station...
This is indicated to me by the swan logo as well as the large tower which I believe to be the way through which kate and locke originally entered. Also visible is a dome which would be the geodesic dome of the swan station...
Two questions i get from this are... was any progress made on the road ever? And... Why is it that the swan station appears to be on a hill as indicated by the gradient markings used to show elevation?

XMOZZAXZ pointed out int he forums that the topo lines of the map are too evenly spaced to indicate anything other than a gradual change in elevation. I thought about this and then remembered seeing similar lines on weather maps--isobars used to delineate the changes in airpressure. Then I started wondering if maybe these weren't isobars, but rather used to identify the chages in the electromagnetic field generated (or controlled, or monitored, or harnessed, or whatever it is that the Swan did) by the Swan station.
And this brings me to the ©, with the info from the Lost puzzles, could this mark the location of the Cerberus Vent?

Very interesting, but on the blast door map, its generally been marked as CV, if thats even what it means. the again, it was Radzinsky who made the map, so it may have been his mistake.
Talking of Radzinsky, anyone reckon he's been made out as. He knows a LOT about the island, judging on the map. anyone reckon he wsas an other trying to infiltrate the swan? And Kelvin found out and killed him?

the only reason a raod would swing back and forth like that would be to descend/ascend a hill, and that doesn't look like much of a steep hill...
unless it's to avoid very specify rocks or something, or it's a rally course.

im still trying to figure out what the whole hatch thing is about

Typically on a map like this VV would stand for Vertical Velocity. It is usually used in weather or forecasting maps. But it may mean something else in this context, perhaps relating to the velocity of the discharge for EM?

I agree that it is the swan hatch at the end of the road. I believe it is a topigraphical map with the hatch located in the valley and the road rising in swtchbacks out of the valley. Above the last switchback as you move right to left looks to be 4 numbers, 3459, that would be an elevation mark for the highest point. I noticed after saving the picture to my computer and zooming in on portions that in the bottom right of the map in a rectanle box are 3 letters. Can't make out the 1st but the 2nd and 3rd are HD. Too bad the 2 boxes with text info are to fuzzy to read and gleen anymore information from them.
