First, hidden in the freeze frames are images of a few returning guests. First, a ghastly looking Boone. Next, a polar bear! Yup! A Polar Bear! I don't know which I'm more excited about! Here are the pics.

The American promo clearly shows Locke playing around with some fire and there is definitely flamage around that bear, so while Boone looks like the stuff of flashbacks, looks pretty solid that Mr. Polar Bear will be making an appearance on the island.
Another bit of spoilerish info is that Locke cannot speak in the CTV promo, but can in the American. Looks like Locke goes to the church and turns it into a sweatlodge so he can get a vision of where Mr. Eko is and save it. Sound plot as far as I'm concerned! Need more proof? Note that Locke appears to be holding an aerosol can up to the torch? Previous night scenes from the promo show Eko on the ground, kinda dazed. So we can put this all together to come up with this:
Locke returns from the experience at the hatch a mute. He makes Eko's church into a sweat lodge and prepares for a vision from the island. He is instructed to save Mr. Eko by the spirit of Boone, and possibly given other instructions as well. He and Charlie go in search of Eko following Boone's cryptic clues and find him in the process of being mauled by a polar bear. Locke successfully fends off the bear by singing its fur.
