Where is she in the 2004/the bomb changed everything time line?

Well, she would have been on the Island in 2004 because Ben had recruited her three years before the crash. But I don't understnad what is going on. Did the Island sink in 1977 and there is no more Island in 2004? If that's the case, I guess she is in Florida with her sister and nephew. Or she could be in jail because of her research being so contraversial.
