View Full Version : Colleen - Benry's New Girlfriend?

I think Colleen could have been the woman who was on the boat at the end of Season 1 that threw the maltov coktail.

She also seems very jealous of Juliet. LOVE triangle!

Also, I have a question - the man who was in the field giving all the orders to Sawyer and Kate - Danny or Daddy?

as I said last night, I heard Danny...
a coworker said she heard Daddy.

We go to the subtitles...

if it IS Danny... how interesting could this be...

Danny is someone who was in a relationship with Ana-Lucia Cortez. Big Mike said to her "Heard about you and Danny. Want me to kick his ass for you?" To which she replies "It's better this way."
[edit]
Theories

* Could be the father of Ana-Lucia's baby
o This is highly probable because Ana Lucia's partner claimed that he had heard something about the couple and asked whether Ana wanted her Ex beaten up (her ex may have left her because the baby died).
* Might be Pickett.

Very interesting!!

If it was "Danny" then that kiss could be a "hey baby, haven't seen you all day" kinda kiss.

Maybe the whole island is a like Big Love, and everyone is married to everyone else.

When he kissed her on the cheek he said "be careful out there" So he is worried about her.

Not in front of the prisoners, elle! that kinda stuff is for behind closed doors only!

Well, I don't know. I thought she said Danny, and not Daddy. But who knows if in that crazy other society they call their "parents" their real names.

Based on the physical interaction, I'd say it is her father... I agree that a lover would have kissed her on the mouth. Although, until we see it in print, there is no way to know what Colleen said.

I totally disagree...no way he's her father. They don't look they're that far apart in age to be father/daughter. And if he's not Colleen's hubby/boyfriend, then maybe they could be brother and sister? Maybe they're just close friends...but no way is Colleen his daughter. I'm sticking to this one.

She is in her 30s and he is 56? He was born in 53. So he is old enough to be her father.

Ok...I believe you, but where did you get this info? I know this info was not given out in last nights episode. Is it the actor/actresses real ages? Well, sorry, that still means nothing to me. You can vary on your characters age...depending on your real age. Example: Emmanuel Lewis was in his teens/close to twenties when he played Webster. Do I need to give more?

And sorry (again), that didn't seem like a father/daughter kiss to me, just cuz it was on the cheek. Didn't he stroke her cheek? Gross, my dad doesn't do that. It seemed more hubby like. And some couples don't like to be all kissy-face in public and in front of other ppl.

This is my point exactly. She was obviously jealous when she walked in on them. And yes it is the actors age. I dont think we are dealing with a sitcom type show from the 80s. And of course Webster was that old, he had a medical condition. They are all playing characters close to their age. So I am just saying it is possible that he could be her father. Rather than she is 30 and he is 40 so no way in hell.

*edit* I am not saying this is the deal, just my thoughts and what I think.

Yes, I do agree with you, and others, that Colleen appeared to be very jealous when she walked in on them....but maybe that jealously was of Juilet's position in the rank and file of the "others". Maybe Colleen wants Juilet's top spot....as Ben's Right-Hand Man. That's my impression of Juilet's position.

And of course E.L had a medical condition...it was the first example I thought of...like I said, do you want more? Cuz I'm a huge TV/movie nut, and can give you plenty. It doesn't prove anything just going on the real actors age. It really doesn't. Especially in this day and age of movie/tv magic.

That's what I thought too, Mr. Smith, however Michael Emerson is 51. Someone corrected me in an earlier post.

And to Elle, how did you find Paula Malcomson's (Colleen) birthday/age? I've googled the hell out of her name, and her bio is unknown...i.e. birthday. She just looks alot older to me than 36ish.

And also, about our discussion on actor's ages and the character's they play? Ummmm....Beverly Hills 90210? Need I say more? Actor's in the 20's to late
20's playing high school students? NO medical conditions there.

If you want to Cid I will go round and round with you about this. I feel that now in this day and age of shows like Lost they cast characters "close" to their age. For example the girl that plays Alex is 18 and her character is 16.

Like I said in my previous post, this way my opinion and just an example to show that she "could" be his daughter.

Her age is not listed, but it has been talked about on some of the Deadwood boards. She is a fan favorite over there. You have been wrong before on thinking someones age (see your above post) You could be wrong here as well.

So true Elle...I have been wrong before about ages. And of course, everyone on here is entitled to their opinions. I think why I'm so against the "daughter" thing is cuz it did look more lover-like to me (kiss/caress on the cheek), and if it ends up that you're right....eeewww gross. I don't want the others (as much as I hate them) to turn out to be some weirf incest cult thing. It just might ruin the show for me. And the show is awesome enough that I don't think the writers need to go there.

And what did you say Paula's (Colleen) age was? Around 36ish? And the actor who plays Pickett is 53. So he became a dad on the island at 17? (Going on your theory/opinion of actors/characters ages) Very possible....in this day and age. But the others on the island live very different lives compared to the outside world. Would they allow that to happen?

So bring it girl...hehe. We can go another round!! My opinion of the Ben/Juilet/Colleen jealously tension? Colleen is jealous of Juilet's positon and role in the others. Juilet appears to be much more higher ranking than Colleen. I didn't get the impression that Colleen was sweating Ben.

Yes it is just that my opinion. I never said she was 36, I said she was in her 30s, because I cant remeber what they said her age was, I just know it was close to mine. I said he was 56. He was born in 53, but my math is off that makes him 53 right? So if she is 33 and he is 53 then going off of logic becuase I thought that most of us were logical people here then he "could" be her father. After watching again last night I think she called him Denny or Danny though.

So please lets put this to rest now.

Maybe it was just meant to show that they are a close group of people. You don't usually give nicknames like that to people you don't like. It kind of showed that they were casual with each other. Or not... :)

Anyhow, maybe Juliette was trying to work Jack's emotions, make him feel bad. Once someone has a nickname they seem more real and personal.

Yes!! Exactly...I think it was Juilet's way to butter Jack up. To make him see the others as individual real ppl. NOT just some faceless enemy anymore. But, ultimately, I think it was to butter Jack up and to get him to cooperate....cuz now the others have a "real" doctor in their grasp. And I doubt they're about to let him go anytime soon.

Uncle Pasto
10-26-2006, 09:21 AM
Nah, Jack was already cooperating as soon as he saw the body. There wasn't a need to butter him up. He was already working on her when he asked her name no?

Also who else thinks Jack wasn't trying his hardest to help her? That was the worst example of CPR I have ever seen. I have had to use it in real life and you need to compress alot harder than that. She was already dead when you brought her in here? C'mon...

And why did Danny want to kill Sawyer if Sun shot Colleen? Wouldn't he want to go after the shooter? Just sayin'.

I disagree. Jack was NOT cooperating with the others when he went to help Colleen. He is a doctor, and took his Hippocratic oath to save a life...no matter what or who. He was only doing what he's been trained to do. I think the buttering up came afterwards....Juilet thought she could play on Jack's emotions...cuz he is a doctor, and a decent man, and would care that he lost a patient, even if that patient was an other.

And for real....very bad CPR. I've heard when it's done correctly, the patient's sternum ends up having fractures. And wtf??? A surgery suite with no crash cart?? C'mon....

Such a typical surgeon's line - it made me laugh.

I thought Juliet's use of "Cole" was to humanize her to Jack. Or perhaps we're being set up for something later.

I agree - very bad CPR; typical for TV, but this was worse than most. CPR is a last resort, and it takes significant pressure, resulting in fractures.

Didn't Juliet say that they'd had a crash cart, but it was broken? Or did I just make that up? I do recall her saying that they'd never had anything like this happen before (or did I make that up, too?). You'd think it'd be in their interest to repair the cart or get a new one. Maybe instead of the washer and dryer for the Swan.:D

If I wasn't him, I wouldn't want to help out my captors either. Sure he was all about it before she died. But I think once he heard that "beeeeeeeeeeep" knowing she was dead, he stopped trying right there.

I think he just wanted to hurt someone. Sawyer was already in trouble with the whole "do I have a pacemaker in me?!" and when you lose someone you love, sometimes the only thing is to hurt something someone else loves.

C'mon....
I agree that Jack tried his best. Just like when an ER doctor operates on a criminal, they still try their hardest to save the person. As for the CPR, I have no opinion, I have never seen it done. I do know what it feels like to have the Heimlich maneuver done though. That hurts, but it's better then chocking!

Maybe there was no crash cart because it was an operating room for animals.

Yup, that I do remember. Yes, Juilet said the crash cart was broken, and the others never got around to fixing it, cuz nothing like this has ever happened before.

Thanks, I couldn't remember if she said that or not.

I just posted something in DH's thread about Others and Doctors. What if the crash cart wasn't broken, she just said that to keep Colleen from living?

Oh, I agree also, that Jack tried his best. Once a doctor, always a doctor. And omg yes, I would say that a sore stomach is better than chocking. I bet that was scary, and yeah, you're ok!!

And no crash cart cuz Juilet said it was broken....and no one got around to fixing it.

Fractures??? I'd hope not... I took CPR class over a year ago, and we were instructed NOT to put pressure that would cause a fracture to the sternum or ribs... it looked to me he was doing it decently... of course he didn't have to breath b/c the oxygen tube was in her mouth. He was only trying to stimulate the heart a bit...

OMG...I didn't think of that either. I wouldn't be surprised to see Juilet pull something like that....the sneaky ho.

But, do you think Juilet could keep that secret among the others, and why would she lie? To keep Colleen from moving up the ranks, and maybe one day taking her spot? Or to keep Jack from looking too good, and then having leverage with the others? Like saying, "See, I just saved one of your ppl, now it's quid pro quo time."

Well I have had to save someone using CPR and I didn't break the sternum. And yes she lived. As for the crash cart and stuff , yes Ivanka you did hear her say all of those things. But remember the others were watching and I'm sure if the paddles were working they would have spoken up about the use or non use of them.
