So, straight off the mark, here's my list of this week's easter eggs, and, if you're lucky, a theory written by moi at the bottom!

The symbol that Juliet was branded with was very similar to the cross of Scientology, turned upside down. Inverted crosses came about with St. Peter's crucifixion. He did not feel worthy of being crucified under the same cross as his messiah. It has since come to symbolize 'unworthiness' and as a mark of deep respect for your superiors.

Another easter egg (there were very few in this episode) is the name of Jack's friend, Achara:

THEORY: Karl is Ben's son. It all makes sense. We know Alex was born on the island, so technically she hasn't been with The Other's all her life. However, from Karl's lack of knowledge on The Brady Bunch, it would seem he has. So, whoever Ben impregnates gives birth to Karl. Ben, wanting a daughter to carry on The Other's way of life, practically disowns Karl and doesn't pass on the knowledge he is his father. Then, Alex is kidnapped. Ben is thriled he finally has the daughter he wants, and totally forgets about Karl. Then, years later, he see's them falling in love. Obviously he doesn't want that, seeing as she is his adopted daughter and he is his biologicaly son, so he threatens to kill Karl.

Alex was taken as a baby, so yes, she has been with the others her entire life. She would also have no knowledge of The Brady Bunch. And if Carl is Ben's son, why would Ben stop Alex from carrying on the mission or whatever you would like to refer to it as, by procreating with Carl? It doesn't "all make sense". It makes absolutely no sense.

what did jacks tattoo mean again? it must have meant something bad for those men to beat him up and that little boy to be scared of him all of a sudden
