Michael Emerson plays the probable leader of The Others in Lost. Aged 51, he is a succesful American actor, having had roles in both stage and television. Born and raised in Iowa, Emerson attended Drake University, majoring in theatre, and then moved to New York City.

Upon arrival, Emerson had trouble finding substancial work, and worked in retail for many years. In 1986, him and his first wife moved to Florida, where he acted in local stage productions and worked as a teacher and director.

After finally breaking in to mainstream acting, Emerson played the role of Oscar Wilde in the Broadway production of Gross Indecency: The Trials of Oscar Wilde. From here on, Emerson took part in many plays, such as The Misanthrope opposite Uma Thurman, and The Iceman Cometh with Kevin Spacey. After starring as a serial killer in a few episodes of The Practice, Emerson was presented with an Emmy award for Outstanding Guest  Actor.

Terry O' Quinn, aged 54,  portrays the mysterious character Locke on Lost. He is Irish-American, and was born and raised in Michigan. He attended Michigan University and the University of Iowa, and has been in the acting business for over 30 years.

O' Quinn has starred in such films as The Stepfather and Tombstone, as well as appearing in popular tv shows such as Miami Vice and Star Trek: The Next Generation. AFter appearing recurrantly in Alias, J.J. Abrams already had knowledge of his acting skills. He was asked by Abrams to take part in Lost, and was one of few actors who wasn't made to audition for a role.

O' Quinn's family includes his wife, Lori, and two children, Oliver (who is 23) and Hunter (who is 21). Previously living in Maryland, they moved to Hawaii to be closer to set when production of Lost began. O' Quinn was originally named Terry Quinn; he changed his name to prevent confusion between himself and an already established actor, also named Terry Quinn.

In his role as John Locke, O' Quinn plays the character in a similar way to other characters he has played, such as his role in The Stepfather. Locke is a quiet, mysterious character, who'd beliefs lead him more than his head. Locke's faith in (and sometimes lack thereof) the island has led him into dangerous situations many times. It is possible that the anger displayed in these situations could be attributed to the rocky relationship he had with his father, a con man.

Yunjin Kim (also written as Yoon-jin) plays the beautiful Sun on Lost.  Born in Seoul on November 7th, 1973, Yunjin and her family moved to New York when she was a child.  A resident of New York’s Staten Island, she attended the High School of the Performing Arts.  (Remember Fame?)

Her career as an actress includes spokesperson roles, Japanese film, Korean television, and of course Lost.  She made Maxim’s “Hot 100” list of 2006 and had an amazing photo spread and cover for Stuff Magazine.

Yunjin is as complex a person as her character is, being made up of many opposites.  She is trained in many styles of dance, ranging from ballet to Afro-Caribbean.  She is proficient in many styles of fighting including broad sword and Tae kwon do.  She speaks both Korean and English fluently.  She is also a horseback rider.

Her roles on Korean television combined with her fighting abilities have earned her the nickname Yeo Chun Sa, or “The Warrior Woman.”  She has also been called the Korean Julia Roberts.

While at school she thought about changing her name to something more “Americanized.”  Instead she listened to a teacher of hers who told she should just concentrate on being a great actress.  Then people would automatically learn her name.  Seems to me the teacher was right.

Yunjin is currently living in Hawaii.

This is what Dom(Charlie) thinks about LOST...

"LOST star DOMINIC MONAGHAN is upset with the executives behind the TV drama - because he fears they've upset fans by ruining the concept of the series. The LORD OF THE RINGS star accepts no one had any idea the show would become a phenomenon, but even he's growing tired of the plot twists and turns that have turned fans against Lost.

He says, "They (writers) had a beginning and then they had an ending and the studio says, `Can you expand the middle.' That kinda gets you to a point where it's not as exciting. "I'd like them to do four or maybe five great seasons and then we'll do, like, a couple of movies and it'll be like a big event. "Stringing it out and losing the quality is not what we want."

The restaurant, owned by movie star Jackie Chan, is hosting its first "Lost" viewing party from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The couple, who are both 25, are understood to be back together after announcing their separation in January. They married only six months ago, after a five-year courtship.

De Ravin's spokesman refused to confirm whether the two, who were married in the Melbourne beachside suburb of Mount Eliza in a private ceremony in June, were giving their marriage a second chance."
