Josh Holloway Command and ConquerJosh Holloway (Sawyer on LOST) has lent his talents to the cut-scenes for the upcoming Command and Conquer three from Electronic Arts.  In addition to Holloway, Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica), Billy Dee Williams (Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi), Grace Park (BSG), and Michael Ironside are also on-board for the high-definition live action sequences that take place between levels of gameplay.

Ironically...  (LOST Spoiler here... highlight to read)  [ Billy Dee Williams will also be appearing on LOST as a high ranking 'other' in upcoming episodes ]

The game is set to be released in the US in March '07, and has already hit the streets in europe.

Found a trailer with a short piece of Holloway's character "Ajay".

Raised in the Blue Ridge mountains of Georgia, Josh Holloway abandoned his studies at the University of Georgia to pursue - successfully - a career as a male fashion model gaining success across North America as well as Europe.

Josh's dreams of Hollywood success eventually brought him to LA where he quickly racked up a resume of stints in mid-to-low budget films such as Doctor Benny, Me Amigo, Moving August, Cold Heart, and Sabretooth.

In addition to his work in feature films, Holloway made his rounds on the smalls screen as well with bit parts on NCIS, Walker: Texas Ranger, CSI, Angel, and That '70s Show.  Being close to the constant flow of the TV industry gave him early dibs on the part of LOST's Sawyer, a part the shows producers felt he seemed destined to play.

More recently, Holloway has done voice work for the videogame Command and Conquer 3, and will appear in the feature film Whisper.

The reluctant actress, Evangeline Lilly took part time acting gigs while studying International Relations at the University of British Columbia.  Ironically Evangeline, the youngest of two girls, grew up without a television in her house.

Her acting career had humble begins with mostly non-speaking stand in parts in Freddy Vs. Jason, Smallville, and Kingdom Hospital.  Her only speaking role prior to LOST was in a commercial for a phone dating service called "Live Links".

Evangeline sent a tape to JJ Abrahams on a total whim and was shocked to be hired on the spot.  It is rumored that the LOST producers put up a tremendous fight getting clearance to cast Lilly, an unproven unknown, in the female lead.

None-the-less Lilly landed the role of Kate moving on to receive Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her work on LOST.

Matthew Fox (born July 14, 1966) began his adult life prepping to become a Wallstreet hawk, majoring in economics at Columbia University.   While at Columbia, Fox played footbal, wide receiver, and was a participant in a game that ended Columbia's legendary string of 44 straight loses.

After Graduating, Fox determined that the dog-eat-dog world of Wallstreet was not for him and at the recommendation of his girlfriend's mother - who was a modeling agent - Fox entered the world of acting and modeling starting out doing theater with the Atlantic Theater Company in New York.   The school is founded on the on the theory of Practical Aesthetics developed by David Mamet and William H. Macy.

Fox worked his way up through bit parts in sitcoms, an eventual big screen debut in "My Boyfriends Back", and finally into the steady work of prime-time tv as Charlie on 'Party of Five'.

Fox was cast as Jack on LOST in 2004.  Originally the part was given to actor Michael Keaton, and Jack was to have died a shocking death in the pilot.  After that idea was scrapped, Keaton backed out wanting nothing to do with the workload of a prime-time big network series.

Matthew Fox had originally sought to play the character of Sawyer, but lucky timing with the unexpected departure of Keaton opened him up for what many consider to be the largest role on the series.

As LOST rocketed to unrivaled success, so did Matthew Fox's reputation eventually landing him roles in major Hollywood productions such as McG's 'We Are Marshall' and the upcoming political thriller Vantage Point.

In a recent interview with IGN, one half of LOST's show running team addressed fan concerns over the new characters of Paolo and Niki who entered season three like bulls in a china shop.  Most interestingly, IGN asked LOST's Lindelof point blank:  Are we supposed to dislike Paolo?

damon_lindelof_lost.jpg Yes. But hopefully, like any other character on the show, after you learn a little bit more about them, your opinion changes. Or maybe when you learn a little bit more about them, you hate them more.

ABC and Touchstone did testing on Sawyer around episode 4 of the show, and he was the lowest testing character on the show. People hated him. They thought he was belligerent and obnoxious. Then his flashback story episode aired, and suddenly he’s a little kid hiding under a bed, whose mommy and daddy… And suddenly Sawyer shot to the top of the charts.

Lost, as frustrating as this may be, requires patience, and I think in a society where people don’t have a lot of patience, the fact that the show demands that of them… We feel blessed to have the viewership we still have.

LOST may have only had six episodes this season, but that did not stop it from landing in the top ten for ratings.  LOST managed a respectable #6 with 17,837,000 viewers.  #1 was Desperate Housewives with 20m.  The CBS show Criminal Minds which was known for defeating LOST in the short numbers, failed to live up in the final numbers coming in at #11 with 15m viewers.  Altogether this means that LOST won its coveted 9:00pm est time slow, which it will be abandoning to give American Idol a wide berth.

... for another LOST Experience, that is.  According to EW's Jeff "Doc" Jensen, last years 'LOST Experience' will not be getting a sequel this summer.  This is surprising!  Although the ARG ultimately left many players feeling less than satisfied with its protracted final act and oh-so-predictable 'Luke, I'm your father' twist, it was extremely engaging in the beginning.  For a time it was downright atmospheric in a creepy-cool kind of way.   Then, it just suddenly wasn't.  Any way you look at it, the potential was there, it is a shame that ABC is not going to take another swing at getting it right.

LOST is coming to an end!  LOST season four won't start until January 2008! These are just a few of the points making their rounds through blogs and mainstream media alike.  If you only look at the headlines it can be a bit scary.   We thought it would be good to round up the facts.

1 - LOST is coming to an end.

Carlton Cuse indicated they are talking to ABC brass about setting an end date for LOST.  Taking this public may have been just another tactic in that negotiation.  According to Stephen McPherson -  president of ABC Entertainment - they have have been having those discussions for years.  In fact, his response in one article was labeled as downplaying.

2 - The producers would like to end LOST in 4 to 5 seasons.

LOST's head creative crew and principal cast is under contract for seven seasons. (source) Couple this with Stephen McPherson's fore-mentioned 'downplaying' and it would seem that the magic number is seven seasons, regardless of what Cuse and Lindelof would hope for.  The insinuation is that LOST may suffer the same fate as the X-Files;  however that comparison is not valid.  X-Files went through a phase where its main cast was jumbled up and the story-telling altered to suite those new personas.  This could have been as much a cause for viewer apathy as the length of the series.

3 - LOST season four will not start until January 2008.

Next year there won't be a LOST mini-season then another huge hiatus.  The season will run 22-23 episodes and will either begin in the fall, as usual, or in SPRING.  Spring would be much worse than the prevailing rumor of January, but since this move is to appease viewers who were peeved over the second hiatus, it's unlikely they are going to make us wait almost a year for new episodes of LOST.  In fact, McPherson mentions fall as his first choice. Either way,  LOST is definitely going to be starting later to accomadate this new schedule, let's just hope not TOO late.   (source)

At a recent press event, Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof spoke candidly about their plans for the future of LOST.  One issue in negotiation right now is determining a end-game for the season.  Cuse said they are openly negotiating with the network, ABC, to determine a time and place to end the series.  Lindelof insinuated that the fifth season would be the last.

"At the end of season four, we will have produced 93 hours of the show," he said. "I imagine that would be very close to where it would end."

it's far more likely that "Lost" would continue at least through its seventh season since that is when most of the casts contracts expire.

Another proposed change would be the elimination of the second hiatus.  Instead of a mini-season followed by a hiatus, the show would run for 22 episodes straight.  Fans shouldn't celebrate yet, because right now there is not talk of when that season would begin.  If LOST were to service the networks needs, in the same way 24 does, this would mean LOST season four may not begin until 2008.
