LOST - Harold as Michael
Still wondering where the-other-formerly-known-as-Henry-Gale was sending Michael and Walt with those mysterious coordinates?  Apparrently Hollywood!  Harold "Michael" Perrineau has landed a triple billing since leaving "LOST" in season 2.

First up, Harold will be playing a heroic special forces pilot in the sequel to "28 Days Later", "28 Weeks Later".  (No word if he is up for "28 Years Later" or the rumored fourth installment "28 Centuries Later".

Next he will be playing actor Richard Roundtree in "your name here", a movie about the writer Phillip K. Dick which is told partially through one of Dick's last stories,  in which Dick himself was a character.

Perrineau also has been cast in "Gardens of the Night," starring John Malkovich and Jeremy Sisto.  This is a small indie drama built around a strong ensemble cast.

The tenative release date for "28 Days Later" is May 11th, 2007.  No word yet on whether or not we will see Michael again on LOST this season, but it has been said he and Walt will be revisited at some point.

It's never a good idea to alienate the viewers of one of the most popular television shows in history... and "LOST" is no exception.  Largely ignored by the Emmy's this year, "LOST" fans silently rebelled against the ceremony this year,  costing the telecast BIG time.

The overnight ratings are in for last night's 58th annual Emmy telecast, and the news isn't good for NBC: The 13.1 rating/20 share represents an almost 12 percent drop from last year's 14.9 rating/22 share on CBS, according to preliminary estimates.

After the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences instituted a new nominations procedure this year, several observers speculated that there might be a drop in ratings, since several shows that were expected to nab a large number of nominations -- like "LOST" did not, and also given the significant number of nominees (and, in the end, winners) that were from shows that had been cancelled.

LOST - Evangaline Lilly At the Emmy's
LOST's Evangaline Lilly (Kate) was a copresenter at tonight's emmy's with Prison Break star Wentworth Miller.   They reported in on the creative arts emmy's results which include a nom for LOST by way of Henry Ian Cusick, and presented for best director,  Jack Bender of LOST was nominated for his work on the LOST season two finale "Live Together, Die Alone", and best writing which saw LOST dynamic duo Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof nominated for 23rd Psalm.

Of course in what has become the prevailing theme this year, LOST was summarily shut out and did not bring home any statues, at least from this batch of noms which were questionable to say the least.  (How can you top "Man of Science, Man of faith"?)

None the less, the beautiful Ms. Lilly was stunning!  Pics are in the gallery.

Lost Season Three Promo Poster
This is not new-new,  but in case you haven't seen it... here is the post for LOST season three.  It features the new lost tag-line "Find Yourself" and all the characters you'd expect PLUS the other formerly known as Henry Gale.

What do you think of the new tag-line for LOST?  What does it mean?  Is it just a cool bit of marketing, or an indication that season three will tie up many of the personal stories as it embarks on the lives of new characters?  And speaking of new characters,  where are they?  The answer is,  after the six-episode pod.   So much of this marketing is targeted towards the six episode "Mini Season" of LOST that will start October 4th.

At any rate, it is very cool to see LOST promotional materials begin to dribble out.  It is only a matter of time before we have footage from the premiere!

Clandestine cameramen captured this scene the other day from the set of "LOST" in Hawaii.  It appears that Jack snatches a youngster up at a playground and performs the Heimlich maneuver.   Confusing is the fact that this is the second Jack intensive "LOST" flashback shot to be captured during a time when no Jack episodes are said to be being filmed.  Could it be that Jack is appearing in another "LOST" characters flash back

Could this also be an indication that Matthew Fox's commitments are being filmed ahead of schedule to accomodate his departure from the show as some have speculated?

You got it folks!  Shannon Rutherford will return in Season Three of lost

The news comes via an interview with the former LOST beauty in the Dailymail!

While short on actual details, the story does tell us Shannon will appear in the flashbacks of another character.  Likely it will be a "blink or you'll miss it" walk on.

Here's the actual quote and link to the source:

The producers have been deluged with calls and emails from irate viewers after Rutherford joined the lengthy body count in the second series, which is halfway through its run. But nothing in Lost is quite what it seems - the show is told through a series of flashbacks, and she is due to make her next appearance in a scene about another character's past.
