If there is one thing that can be said about the episode Enter 77, its that it destroyed many of the preconceptions LOST fans have been taking for granted. Because of the spoilerish nature of this entry I'll throw it behind the jump.

In Enter 77 we discovered one more piece to the Dharma puzzle. For so long, many have thought that the Others were the last remenants of the Dharma Initiative. But in this episode we learn this to be false... very false. It appears that there was a very bloody conflict between the Dharma Initiative and the Others. However, this is not what my entry is about. This entry is about how as LOST fans we must learn to keep our minds open. For those of us who love to theorize, keeping our minds open allows us to be more open to the limitless possibilities of LOST. I know that I hadn't even questioned the Dharma/Others relationship in a very long time. When I found out how wrong I was my mind was blown. I couldn't believe it. But you know what? I was happier. The LOST writers managed to have me looking the other way up until the last moment and I was so happy to be shocked again. Looking back the last time I felt that way was during the Season 2 episode Lockdown. That episode was what made me into the LOST addict I am today.

So to get to the point, it is my belief that we should all keep a much more open mind to the possibilities LOST presents us. When we allow ourselves to be taken for the ride we enjoy the show much more than when we try and decipher every last bit of information. Now I'm not saying not to theorize, by all means I won't stop. But don't worry about Adam and Eve, or the black and white stones, or the cable leading to the ocean. The answers will come and only if we leave our mind open to what the answers will mean, will our minds be totally blown.

I have seen this episode and must say is brilliant wont say no more but watch sunday"s episode you wont be disapionted.

What makes you sure that just because Patchy says there was a war between Dharma and the hostiles we can believe that? Keep an open mind, my friend ... it turns out he was in league with Ms. Klugh and had been lying, so I'm not sure we can believe anything he told us ...

Im well aware that Mikhail was lying about his being a member of the Dharma Initiative but I still believe that he was not lying about the rest. The writers threw in the line about the rest being true, this seems to indicate to me that he really isnt lying. Just seems like the line was throw in there for that purpose.

I agree with eric. The writers have the out of having Patchy just be lying about everything. So how can you believe a thing?

I'm not buying the whole story of the DHARMA / Hostiles war. My theory is that DHARMA are the ancestors of the hostiles / others and the hostiles are from the future or some alternate time line perhaps.

There has to be some relation with DHARMA, why else would DHARMA still be supplying them with food and stuff?
